Thanks for the input guys. I'm sticking with my conventional bulbs. I'm NOT going without my high beams.

But the hids will be alot brighter than ur stock highs, i live on a back road & never use my highs they dont cast as much light as the hids

But I don't have stock lights, I have Sylvania Silverstar Ultras, and they are WAY brighter than stock.

I run ultras also.

The whole melting of the wiring has deterred me from buying them.

I tried silverstar ultras once, and then I realized it isn't much fun driving with a candle in front of my car. Once you get HID's its hard to drive any other car at night.

And who told you the wiring will melt? Hahaha

A relay harness will halt the possible melting wire issue

I did, then I switched to some good HID's. Paying more for less light output doesn't make sense to me.

55w and higher will burn the wiring.

Go with 35w and you'll be fine on the wiring
