Audio/Video Build: Hid lights
Hey guys I'm new here. I have a question. ...I recently replaced my headlights with HID's and they look great at night, but I never noticed that in the daytime my low beams( I think) come on automatically which are regular bulbs. My question is can I also make my low beams HID too or would that be pointless and I should leave them the way they are? At NIGHT I noticed they cut off and the HIDs come on.
Your daytime running lights should be your high beams but at 50% power, and your regular bulbs are the ones that pop on with your auto lights.
I wouldn't use HID in general because you aren't running a projector headlamp style and are just making life on the road for everyone else difficult.
However, since you've already done it to I assume your low beams, I would not do it to the high beams as well. Since they run at half power for DRLs and during normal driving you switch back and forth on high beams, the way that HIDs work and require warm up they will just get destroyed easily.

Oh ok lol yea, that's what comes on during the day and then when it gets dark the HID'S come on. I believe they are the high beams but like u said lowered at 50% , but I know they're the 2 lights that are closest to the middle of the hood of the car if that's where they are cause I'm really not sure

I would not run HID in the high beams.
