Default HID Conversion Kit

Hi everyone, I have a 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that is my daily driver but is also a show car. I recently decided to upgrade my headlights to HID but I am torn. I want the look that the 2004 or 2005 Nissan Maximas have, that purple-ish blue look. I've talked to the rep at a place called Rikensport (rikensport.com - really nice guys and they seem to know their stuff). Right now I am completely torn between the 6000K kit and the 12000K kit. I know the 6000K will produce a whiter, brighter light at night with a purple tint in the headlamp during the day but I'm not sure if that's going to satisfy the color I want. I KNOW the 12000K will provide the color I'm looking for, however, I know it will hurt the light output. I'm leaning with the 12000K because I figure that the HID will be brighter than the stock halogens no matter what temperature I decide to go with even though they will probably attract more attention (police). Just wondering if anyone had any pictures or any reccommendations. I know everyone is going to tell me to go with the 6000K; I just want someone to tell me I'm not crazy for wanting that awesome color that comes in the Nissans.

P.S. I also know the Nissans have projector lenses in their headlights and there is no retrofitting available for 95-99 Monte Carlos.
