Opinion Needed: Headlights stay on?

I believe you are seeing the daytime running lights which illuminate the headlights. they stay on whenever the car is running. That's normal. In fact, I rarely turn on the headlights.

They'll also stay on for about a minute after you turn the car off. Pretty convenient when you're trying to make your way to the front door and forgot to turn the porch light on.
