aight! According to my bud at GM, the build sheet on that car DOES indicate that it has the CD Changer control option on the factory radio. BUT, he still suggested to pull it out and check to be sure. Unless you are the original owner of the car, it's always hard to tell if even the factory radio had been swapped at some point.

hope this helps.

Paddock, what kind of harness would you recommend that I get to be able to hook up my iPod, and where could I purchase it?

you could go the cheap route

or go the more expensive route!

just go to ebay and type in "monte carlo Ipod" and see what comes up

Good Luck!

Hey Paddock, I was lookign at the first one you posted, the cheaper one, and there is a note that says, "*Must have XM-Satellite/CD Changer ready headunit. Will not work with Factory cd changer(found in rear of Vehicle)"

Now I don't have anything XM in my car. I just have the stock radio. Also, now that I know what the actual harness is all about, I'm gonan go look to BestBuy or Tweeter to see if they have any and use eBaY as a last resort in case I would need to return it.

You've been very helpful, just thought I'd point out what I did in case it meant anything.

Hey paddock, here's something my friend found. I'm thinking about picking it up.
