My girlfriends having car trouble and thinking of trading in her car for a 04-07monte carlo.I'm going with her next weekend to look at a few.Right now she has a 2000 Grand Prix GT that I putan8k H.I.D kit on low beams.She asked if it could be put on the new car but I wasn't sure if the low beams on the grand prix and monte carlo were the same or not so I thought I would ask you guys.

I was under the impression that the Grand Prix's from that generation used 9007 bulbs which are the same bulb for a high and low beam with a dual filament.
The Monte's from 2000-2005 will have 9006 low beams and 9005 high beams.
I have no idea what the 2006-2007 Monte's use bulb wise, but I'm sure that someone else could tell you. Might be the 9007, but it looks like they use separate bulbs for low/high beams also.
However I believe the ballasts for the HID's are the same for all of them. She'd need new bulbs though.
Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Looks like 2006 and 2007 Monte's use H11 and H9 bulbs according to Sylvania.

I just got my hid kit for my mc and wanted to know was it plug and play or did u use a relay as well cause I had to put a relay on my girls grand prix when I put her hid kit on.
