Gauge Mounting

Gauge Mounting
Anyone have any custom gauge mounting ideas or things they have done that they want to show off? I am pretty much dead set on not using the A-pillar pod I bought and wanted to see if any other 6th gen guys had something unique I could go off of.

So no one?
I got another question, those of you with A-pillar pods did you guys have a gap left at the top of the window? Like I mocked it up there and it doesn't extend all the way like the stock pillar does toward the back of the car. Did you guys leave the stock one there and just mount it over the top?

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but it was pretty easy to do. I took some black plexiglass and layered it until it was the proper thickness that I needed. Then I mounted my boost gauge and my electric exhaust cut-out switch to it. Then I cut the hole in my dash at a place that I could easily view the gauge. Then I ran the vacuum line and electrical. I hope this helps.
P.S. I ran the power to the gauge through the Power Window Relay because it was the most easily accessible switched power supply that I could get to.

oh wow that didnt even look like a monte at first but i guess it's an 06, anyhoo for that gap your so worried about, just take out the A pilliar, and fiberglass and bondo the pod unit to the pillar so that they are seemless, you can than just use a textured spray paint. but make sure to paint the passenger side too or it'll look silly :P
