try switching it over to a diff fuse, if that doesnt work the wire may have fried/melted and isnt good anymore?

I think it's internal to the power port it's self, i have the same issue (someone tried to stick a actual cig lighter, and it stoped working from that day on).

i currently have my center console out for paint, and i couldn't see anything wrong with the wiring, or the port... IDK

all i can say is either try an oem replacement or find one in yopur local junkyard (or try http://www.moradpartscompany.com/)
