Default fog light bulbs

anyone ever tried putting a 50watt 885, or a 37watt 893 bulb in thier factory fog lights 2000-2005 monte?

i figure a wiring upgrade would be required as im already droping .8v with the 880 bulbs

but i was more concerned if it melts the fog light assemblies or blinds traffic enough to get attention from it.

i dont think they'll fit in, the fog lights are designed for the 880 bulb, and the connecter on the wiring is designed for that too, i dont think u'd notice any difference anyway, my truck had 893's and they didn't seem very bright

they'll fit, donsbulbs.com has a purely rediculous amount of info on bulbs, if you search the 880, 885, and 893 u'll see the only difference is the filliment.

oh yah, i just went and took a look on them on the shelf, and they all have the same plug in, the connectors on the 893, and 885 bulbs are a little more heavier duty, they look more solid, the ones on the 880 bulbs look a little thinner(just the connector terminals that is)

i had 893 bulbs in my dakota and they didn't seem much brighter than the 880s in the monte carlo though
