DDM Tuning HID Headache

Default DDM Tuning HID Headache

So Ive had a 55watt HID kit on my car for about a year now and lately my passenger side light doesnt want to turn on..The "high beam out" message is displayed but I know that bulb works because I tried it on the other side...It seems like the light wants to turn on but it doesnt..idk what It could be

Do you have the extra wiring harness?

The extra wire harness runs power right from the battery and is needed sometimes on the 55w hids. you may want to try it. your headlights will work as normal but they will get additional power from the battery.

Agreed, I would get the harness, 55W on factory wiring is iffy, you should have probably gone with 35W to begin with or if you're looking to switch I would look into the 35W kits because the stock wiring is pretty small

did you try and switch the ballasts? if its a faulty ballast they should be under warranty. i also agree that the 55w is a bit much, and super unnecessary. try the ballast first and if that doesnt work i would switch to the 35w rather than buying the harnesses. youre probably blinding everyone anyway since theyre probably not in a projector housing.

Probably should have went with a 35w. And I had that happen on my other cars. I replaced the ballast and it was fine. Make sure you put the ballast where it will not collect water. That was a problem on one of mine.

have you tried another standard bulb? you should try one to make sure you didn't burn up the wiring or something first.

55 watt way overkill,and no harness you will fry the **** out of your wiring.thats what they are for.
