Default Dash Kit

Just wondering if any of you have purchased or thought of purchasing a dash kit. Where would you suggest buying from?

I Google'd it online and the top result is from Sherwood Innovations but their 07 kits don't look like they'd fit on the door controls

http://www.sherwoodinnovations.com/Parent/dashkits.asp

the parts 1928-07 & 1928-11 don't look like what's really in the car (see below)

Any suggestions? Thanks

Mann I loveee that brushed aluminum look. I'd sooo get that for my monte if I already didn't have plans for it lol & I'm not too familiar with the 07 interior so I'm not too much help there

i like that it comes with the passenger vent and a cover for the shifter and cup holder. i always thought that it looked odd that it has all this aluminum stuff everywhere and not on the passenger vent.

I was thinking wood-grain...any opinions/objections. Do you think it would look tacky since the wood is more of a thing you see in 4-door sedans?

Thanks for the replies btw

I'm a fan of brushed aluminum, but those peal and stick vinyl kits, I just have a lack of faith in the idea of those lasting and standing up to the test of time. Now, if they were thin forms pieces of real brushed aluminum, now we're talking.

That kit from HUMount.com looks cool, but looks like it will only be of value on an aftermarket deck.

I have wood-grain trim in a couple old sporty cars (one sedan, one coupe). Looks great there. But I have to admit that I don't think it would look good in a modern Monte. Kind of a odd mixture. I think brushed aluminum would look great.

That stereo install looks awesome walkingonabullet!

Brushed aluminum is okay. Fake wood grain is horribly tacky! I don't know why any car ever had fake wood and the only car I like it in is a (fake) woody wagon. Real wood is a different story. Stick-on fake wood would be worse
