Default Dash board crack

Does anyone have a dashboard crack right above the passenger airbag starting towards the center of the dash?

Is it possible for you to take a picture of it? Would like to see what you're talking about.

If you live near a Salvage yard you maybe able to find a replacement part there.

I already repaired it. I noticed that a lot of latter montes have it though. The area right above the passenger airbag starts to seperate from the top of the dash in the seam between the top of the dash and the area right above the passenger airbag.

How did you go about repairing it? I think I have that same issue. I'll post pics soon.

I simple used gorilla glue to adhere the crack in the seam between the dash and passenger airbag cover. Then I traced the seam with silicone chalk. The same that's used in plumbing repairs. Then I painted it with touch up paint similar to that of the dashboard. So far the crack has stopped running. Every time I would hit a bump I could here the crack getting longer. I see so many montes with this problem but no one addresses it. It really pissed me off because say you get a nice woman in your car, the first thing see sees is this dashboard crack. If left untreated it only gets worse. I'm waiting to see the picks you post. Thanks.

Not sure if this is similar to the issue you had, but this is the issue I have, and I'm wondering how to fix it. Not necessarily a crack, but a separation between both panels of the dash.

Thanks for the pic. Yeah that's the same one I had. It will continue to run like a cracked windshield. Yours is not to bad right now but I would go ahead and take care of it before it gets worse. Thanks again for the pic. I would say about 30% of montes from 2000 - 2007 have this issue.

The way yours is now I would just use the silicon chalk to seal the are. Then once it hardens use touch up paint to match the rest of the dash. Yeah it starts as a separation like you have but it will continue to run the length of the air bag to the point where you can see inside the dash. Each time you hit a bump it will continue to separate.
