Default custom sub enclosure

Hey guys, I just bought an '06 SS, and couldnt be more pleased with it so far.

I have a kicker L5 solobaric (square sub, needs a fairly big box, i believe it if 400 rms, which is plenty for me because I dont need it to be super loud like my old 15's lol) and I am going to build a custom fit box in the trunk, but I was wondering if anyone had any cool ideas floating around about how to shape the box other than the obvious first option, a flat face box, with the sub pointed straight back. I was thinking of, and wanting to add a little personalization to the box and trunk by coming up with something different.

Anyone got any ideas or tips, im new to the monte community...

THanks!

Could you mount it hanging from the rear deck? Then have it facing down or towards the back. That would really be different and cool.

You can use fiberglass to give the face of your box some shape

so im going to build a new/raised trunk floor (to give me a few more inches and allow air movement), remove my spare tire, build an amplifier case where the tire formerly was, and build a flat face subwoofer box across the back of the trunk for my square kicker sub. I have my grill and box accents painted the same ribbon red as the car and they match great! So most likely I will have a long skinny port along the top of the box nearly out of sight, sub directly in the middle, and the red accents on the front (r and l sides) of the box. In the amplifier case, I will have LED lights giving ambient or radiant light off onto a mirrored plexi glass bottom, and on the top will be a clear plexi glass window to make it appear that the amp is floating! Last thing to install will be a ventalation fan in the spar tire well, near the airport that I will have just below the trunk latch, so my amp will have plenty of operating air.....it will be a lot of work, but should turn out nice!

Pictures coming soon!!

I had a removeable box made for when I go to the track, nothing special and the color is a bit off, but it works...

Sub has since been changed for a newer model.

Mine is your basic box also, but I also needed something removable for trips.
