Clock is lit all the time!!!!
I just bought a 1987 SS that has 56K miles on it and is absolutely stock including the radio/cassette stereo system. Incorporated in the faceplate is a digital clock. The clock remains lit all the time 24/7 even when the car is turned off. I believe it may be the culprit in causing the battery to run down if the car is not driven for a week. I do not have the owner's manual but is the clock supposed to be on all the time? I know the phoney burglar alarm light is on on my newer cars but is the digital clock supposed to be perpetually lit on this old Monte Carlo??????
