Default Clock hook up wording ?..(for clock light )

Hey guys, I am doing a clock mod built in my dash bezel, my question is for the lighting wire hook up.... I am just running a power wire for the clock itself, but I don't want it to be lite up all the time, I want the led for the clock (has a separate wire for the light) to turn on when the car is running only.. Where would a good place be to "tap" into for that purpose?

(The clock has 3 wires coming from it, 1 for clock power, 2- for ground, and 3- for clock light.... Thanks in advance for any assistance... Mjc,,,

Do you use your ashtray? If not, you could tap the power wire for the light in it. That way the clock would illuminate simultaniously with the rest of your dash lighting.

My car doesn't have an ashtray... It came with a lighter, but it didn't have a place for an ashtray except the kind you just put into a cup holder.... Thanks for the reply... Mjclemm...
