I think we need more info something along the lines of year? stock radio? Aftermarket?

What exactly is it doing. The more detailed you are the better the response....

It is a 2001 Monte Carlo and it has no sound coming out of it and i'm not sure if it is an aftermarket radio or an oringinal.

might sound like a stupid question, but do you have it turned on? (I build and repair computers...first question I ask is people: is it plugged in? You'd be surprised)
