Im about to build a ported enclosure for my current car that Im going to sell pretty soon. I want to run the box in the car for the time being but I also want to make sure that its going to work in my soon to be monte carlo. The dimensions of the box are 15" tall 36" wide and 20.5" deep. Will this work in a 97-99 monte carlo?

 

i will hAVE TO MESSURE AGAIN BUT THAT SOUNDS LIKE IT MIGHT BE TO TALL AND A BUT WIDE. DEPTH WOULD NOT BE A ISSUE CONSIDERING YOU HAVE TONS OF TRUNK IN THEASE CARS. sorry for yelling

i have two 12" alpine subs in a obcon box and the amp is mounted to the stock location on my car (under the rear shelf)
and the box fits under it but it is snug. but nice i dont have it moving around to much ethier.

soon were going to completly redo it and build a custom set up for everything in there.

but i have the 6th gen monte .

the 5th gen limits you on the trunk space threw the rear opening you have to beabel to get it in there is the worse part of it.

So has anybody made a ported box in a 5th gen monte that would work for 2 12" subs with atleast 1.75 ft3 in each chamber? Im building one this weekend.

 

I say measure the trunk of your soon to be Monte and call it a day.
