with my monty i only upgraded the grounds the other two gage wires were already 2-8 gage. it seemed that the grounds were the red headed unwanted to do to my geb my gen is the 7th. when i did the grounds i noticed a lower rpm rating do to not working as hard as it did befor the wire up grades. not just that when you put a better sound system it wont be hard to add just one or two grounds for that. as in dont have to do a over kill for grounds for the sound system. its my opinoin and observation

Is this the same as a voltage booster sold?

If that's all you did then it's no wonder you feel it's overkill cause you didn't upgrade the main wire in the Big 3 that actually carries positive current, the alternator power wire. I, and lots of others have realized anywhere from half to a full volt increase just from the big 3 alone

Similar, except this also upgrades the two main ground wires in the engine bay as well whereas the voltage booster only addresses the alternator power wire.
