Default B-Quiet sound deadening

Have any of you guys heard of this B-Quiet stuff? It's significantly cheaper than Dynamat, but then again I am worried that this is a "you get what you pay for" situation.

The main difference I have noticed between the higher end sound deadener and the cheaper stuff is the grade of adhesive they use. We used cheaper sound deadener in my dad's plymouth and it worked quite well but the adhesive they used didnt stick. We had to use spray adhesive to get it to stick.

one of my subscribers on youtube uses it and he's got a really good system, I saw the install, and before and after.

He used it on the trunk lid part and it worked great, he also said it stuck on there really good and he didn't have to apply a whole lot of pressure to get it to stick

Well here is how I look at it. It will cost me about 280 to do my doors and trunk with the dynamat and it will cost far less with that stuff you showed me trewyn. So I'm pretty sure I will go with the cheaper stuff haha

you do get what you pay for, but it all depends on what you need. dynamat is very overprice, to asume your getitng what you pay for there is a misnomer, i personaly use fatmat, it same type as dynamat aslphalt based sound dedener, it can just be harder to get to stick, but once its on its on there.

Try to avoid asphalt based deadeners, as they heat up the voc's cook out of them and they become brittle and worthless. Not to mention the voc's released are hazardous to your health. They will deaden the panels, but definitely not the ideal product to use. Look for a deadener that is butyl based, far superior to that asphalt stuff.

Some good butyl based deadeners are Second Skin, Audio Technix, Fat Mat, eDead, and Raamat to name a few.

FYI, its always advised to install deadener on a clean surface free of dust, dirt, grease and debris. I always clean the surface with a good citrus degreaser first and then do a wipe the area with rubbing alcohol before I lay down any deadening. Degreaser isn't always needed but alcohol is. Haven't had one issue yet with deadener not sticking and I've used everything from asphalt based Peel n Seal to butyl based Damplifier.
