Has anyone ever thought of or tried putting an autometer tach and speedo in their dash on a 6th gen. monte carlo. how hard would this be, could it be done, while still maintaining the message center, traction off, abs, engine light, cruise light.

 

Being that the BCM/PCM controls everything on these cars. I don't see this working.

 

I replaced the lights to leds in my gauges recently and its pretty complex back there. If your looking to do a complete new gauge plug and play then keep dreamin. but never say never you can change anything cosmetically it all depends on how crafty you are. you could allways change the lighting behind it, change the actually picture of your gauges. or if your really craftty you could relocate the guts of the gauge cluster and run jumpers to anything you want. id recommend replacin the lights behind it, it makes a big difference, heres an example of bbenginerings work to the cluster.
