I also have an amp rack between the back seat and the sub box. My 1st amp, a 6 ch, died. It was bolted to the rear passenger seat back. This pair didn't fit in the opening without cutting, so a rack was made:

Looks like we all had the same idea on amp location

Did this about 5 months ago

It won't drain your battery, it'll just put another load on your already overloaded alternator.
