Default Aftermarket Amp Question?

I was wondering! Can someone help me with figuring out what amp will match a pair of NEW POWER ACOUSTIK FUBAR 10" 1,600w POWER CAR SUBWOOFER, which these subs a piece are 1600 watts (600 RMS). That totals to 2200 watts (12 RMS power) together. I have a pair of 10inch subs that I need to pair up with the RIGHT power amp. The setup I am having in my 01 Monte, I will have the factory radio with the two subs and amp. The reason why I chose this setup was because some haters broke into my car and stole my 7 inch touch screen dvd joint with 2 Memphis 10 inch subs from the back. So im doing it different this summer. Any information will be grateful.

Also, whatelse do I need to run that basic setup in my car (just to get my audio sounds going)? Thanks in advance!!!

Here are the specs for the sub (if interested):

POWER ACOUSTIK FUBAR-10 (ACOUSTIC FUBAR10 or FUBAR-10W or FUBAR10W)
[*]Dual 4 ohm voice coil[*]Die cast aluminum[*]Royal Blue Finish With Diamond Cut[*]Non-pressed laminated paper cone[*]Chrome finish back plate[*]Large foam rubber surround[*]1-piece rubber gasket[*]Black poly-cotton spider[*]Woven tinsel lead through spider[*]Chrome push terminals[*]1600 watts power handling[*]600 Watts RMS[*]160 oz. magnet[*]SPL 90 dB[*]Fs: 36.8 Hz[*]Vas: 0.99 cu.ft.[*]Xmax: 0.4"[*]Sealed box: .75 cu. Ft.[*]Ported box: 1.5 cu.. Ft.[*]Tuning: 40 Hz[*]Number of ports:1[*]Mounting Depth: 5.25¡± [/ul]

I would recommend jl audio 1000/1 amp puts out 1000 watts rms but in reality it can push much more than that.... would pick up ur POWER ACOUSTIK FUBAR-10 with no prob. and even have power to spare.... make sure and run good wiring 0 gage prefered for better sound quality also the enclosure u choose will also make a big diffrence in the sound of ur setup choose wisley and let us know wut you choose.....

Default Aftermarket Amp Question?

I wish I did have that type of money to spend on that amp LOL, Im sort of on a tight budget. I will save if I have to though. I have done some reading and from what I have read, other peeps have said that it is very important to match the RMS power with the amp (NOT THE WATTs). So that's why I have been searching from an amp that will match with that RMS power of those subs. Besides me needing the amp, don't I need a capacitor to help with the bass as well? From the setup I still have in my car, which is 4 gauge wire, I thought that would be good at least. Man, I don't know! I just don't wanna blow my alternator out and run my battery down again like How i did in my old Mercury Cougar LOL!

if you want bass to turn heads then go for a sealed box will give you that sounds that will not only transfer inside the car but outside the car as well i have a ported enclosure for best sound quality but if u want head turning bass go with close enclosure... and well its going to be hard to find a good amp that wont drain you battery for cheap u will need to save up for a good amp or else u will regret it a couple of month down the road

What about this setup. Instead of me going with the acoustik subs, I will get 2 Pioneer Permier 12" Dual 2 ohms Premier Champion Series Subwoofer 12 inch and a JL Audio A1800
MONO-Channel 800W-RMS A-Series AMPLIFIER.

The Sub specs for one (1)are:[*]12" Dual 2 ohms Champion Series Subwoofer[*]Power Handling:
[ul][*]Peak: 1400 watts[*]RMS: 400 watts [/ul][*]Impedance: Dual 2 ohms[*]Injection molded polypropylene (IMPP) cone woofer[*]Wide triple layer radial sound[*]Single-sided spring compression terminals[*]Dual voice coil[*]Dual mass magnet with magnet cover[*]Frequency response: 18-500 Hz[*]Sensitivity: 90 dB

The Amp specs are:[*]Class D Mono Subwoofer Amplifier[*]Differential-Balanced Input Topology[*]High-Damping Class D Circuit[*]On-Board Crossover[*]Bass EQ[*]Dual Mono Speaker Output Connections[*]Preamp Output[*]Power Handling @ 12.5V
[ul][*]480 Watts RMS x 1 @ 4-Ohms[*]800 Watts RMS x 1 @ 2-Ohms[/ul][*]Power Handling @ 14.5V
[ul][*]640 Watts RMS x 1 @ 4-Ohms[*]1000 Watts RMS x 1 @ 2-Ohms[/ul][*]Signal-to-Noise Ratio : 90dB[*]Frequency Response : 10Hz~250Hz[*]Input Range : 200mV~8V RMS[*]Dimensions (WxHxD) : 9.25" x 2.5" x 15.75"

Is this setup cool? The cost for everything is about $600, 2 subs and the amp. Not bad huh! Well the amp did cost $400. But, I gotta see what you will say for any other suggestion. Thanks In Advance!

I Support JL All the way, good choice for the amp. what kind of bass do you want but also like, quality or loud. I prefer quality but like it loud, quality is more important to me though. I will probably always use JL or Alpine products. The Type X by Alpine (I have) or the w7 by JL is quality but loud but a hefty wallet. Alpine a better bet is you dont have the BIG wallet. your subs you have chosen more so the pioneer ones you have chosen are more for loudness.

The price range of the subs you chose are probably some what equal value are the Alpine Type R or JL Audio w3. These subs will perform much better though

jl man myself. w3's were good sound quality and loud. installed w7's and those speakers are amazing, loud and almost perfect sq. w6's would probably be perfect for you. good sq and loud and hell of a lot cheaper than w7's
