Afraid to break it...
I need to pull my stereo head unit out to get to the rear panel. I got lazy after my accident last year and paid a guy to move my stereo over for me.
Now that I'm trying to get to the HU I can't see how to get the plastic trim off... feels so fragile. It feels like it's going to snap/crack/pop if I keep prying at it. Is there some trick to this?
Also, while I'm on the subject, there is a plastic... thing... where I guess the OnStar thing would be. It's where I get some of my worst low-bass rattle. I have the same issue with it... can't seem to just pry it off without feeling like it's going to break. I want to try to put something in there to kill the rattle.
Any help would be appreciated. I don't want to have to go out and get a Haynes guide just to see if it has this info...
Thanks!

the dashboard has 2 screws in it. then it will pull off. one you have to get to by opening the glove box. its on the left and the other is under the stearing wheel. gotta take off the panel that has the trunk release button on it and theres a screw under there IIRC. get some sound damplifier like dynomat or SecondSkin and throw it up on your roof and see if that helps any..
