2006 Monte Carlo SS sound system
No. It might fit but not hook up properly if at all. I think in recent posts somewhere its been talked about.
EDIT:
And if im mistaken and it were to fit and plug in, you would still need a dealer to program it.

I have kickers in my doors and on the back deck. 6 1/2 and 6×9 in the back 3 om type and they completamente each other before a 400 wat amp. To connect all 6 speekers. The stock speakers to me were junk even the door ones gave out with little volume the first year i had my 07 monte. Only sound that came out of the doors were the tweeters. The 2 to 3 ohm type seemed to completamente the bose head unit. Mine came qith the bose. It's wierd when i got my monte the vin said ls butmost of the options that came qith it has the lt and ltz options. It has the stock amp wires leading for a amp to a bose radio. Then ls trim as in started with the horrible fe2 suspension to me it was way to soft for my liking. So go with the kicker or kennwood speakers kicker for the best option. Sorry for a long post
For someone truly into car audio- practically every OEM car audio speaker is junk when compared to good aftermarket. Additionally, when you start getting to cars like these that are 10+ years old, you may as well assume the original speakers are toast - especially ones exposed to sun like dash speakers often are.
The thing with stock speakers is they tend to be very cheap:
-The materials are often low quality (paper cones, foam surrounds) as they arent intended to be long lasting
-Power handling is sacrificed for efficiency. They want to minimize cost across the board, so often stock speakers are driven off of 25 watts or less per channel (so its most important that the speaker do everything it can with that tiny power)
-They know most people won't push the stock setups anywhere near their limit, so THD levels at upper power levels (for a stock system) are sacrificed for other properties.
At the places I worked, we had the typical 00s "audio room" with walls of speakers + amps. Both places had one pair of stock speakers (removed from real a customer's car for an upgrade), one place even dedicated 3 squares of display room to show 3 different levels of OEM quality. People that have bottom of the barrel stock systems can usually easily pick up on the difference of a quality aftermarket setup, but its harder to convince people that paid big money for "high end" OEM stuff, especially the Bose fanatics. Thats when it was nice to have them side by side with true high end product.
So go with the kicker or kennwood speakers kicker for the best option

Ok. So my ‘06 Monte Carlo FM/AM radio works fine, and I guess I got lucky because I can’t complain about the speakers. The volume sounds great. But my AUX input doesn’t work. I’ve owned it for 2.5 year now, and at first it was working, I would say for the first 5 months. Then the next month it was never 100% it always seemed to be a hit or miss if I could listen to my music that day. And I know it’s the input Jack, I’ve tried multiple cords and they all work in other cars but not mine. Also, my little port where you would plug a USB output to charge your phone doesn’t work. I’ve tried buying a new fuse and still doesn’t want to work. With all that being said, I’m all ears for all advice. I want to listen to my music. If my port worked I could get a AM/FM transmitter and listen that way. Or if I remove the radio I could try to mess with the AUX Jack maybe it’s out of place or something because it doesn’t really click when input the cord. I think my last option would be to get a whole new radio installed. Which is fine with me but I’m wondering if even that would work because it seems like there is a connection problem or something since the new fuse didn’t work??? If you have any advice or suggestions on which route I should take please let me know. Thank you guys!!
