I actually want to say that the 06-07 premium, 6-disc stereo is made by Pioneer or something. If you look at the magnet of the rear speakers in the trunk, you'll find the brand.

Impalas of the same year did have the Bose option, Monte's did not.

Anybody look at their trunk speakers yet to clarify the brand?

Just replaced mine yesterday and they don't have anything branded at all. . .I'll go snap a picture quick.

I wonder if you didn't have the premium system then? I'm 98% sure there is a brand stamp. Even the cheap system I would think reads "Delco" on the magnet.

I highly doubt i've got the premium system (hence i'm building a system), but if i do, there's nothing premium about it. I did read something about all SS's got the premium system, but i'm not the one that ordered the car so i really can't be sure.

I bought Pioneer Series D for my Monte and the connector for the front 2 door speakers are 4pin instead of the regular gm 2 pin. What kind of adapter do I need or how do I wire it?

Thanks

Also, if it did have Bose stereo in it, it would say bose on the speaker covers, which they do not.
Unfortunately you are mistaken in this situation. There is a Bose option for the SS only.
