Default 2 12" Kicker Comp R Trunk Wall Build

Hey guys! I recently blew my 12" Alpine Type R but since I have insurance working at Best Buy I decided to try something new!

Here's my equipment:

Audiopipe APSM-2000 Monoblock Amplifier
Kinetic HC1400 Battery
(2) 12" Kicker Comp R's (800w RMS ea)

My roommate and I built my custom trunk wall today as well, it is roughly 4 cu. ft and has 5.5" port - tuned to roughly 32ish hz. Here's the project! Still need to do beauty panels and relocate the amps and battery though!

Yeah the port is 5-1/2" wide and about 18in deep IIRC. It sounds amazing and hits lows REALLY well. I am so surprised I have less than $200 in this box and subs and they are the loudest, cleanest, lowest I have ever had in my car. The trunk doesn't rattle at all since it fires into the cab and its still clean AF. Truly shocked. Just need to relocate the amps and battery so I can have access to my backseats again, and then build the beauty panels to seal it off!

Wow, thats one beefy setup you have put together for your Monte. So are you saying your also going to reinstall your back seat even though your firing the subs into the cabin area?

Backseat is still in there, that's what my amps are currently mounted to and my battery is currently sitting on. It's just folded down.

Yea, for the money those are really nice subs. I myself work at best buy and I know audio wise there are way better subs out there but for the money, those Comp R's do a very good job. I may have to get me one

yeah i spent 150 on both subs and they honestly aren't given justice in that prefab box from kicker, they can get LOW and much louder in the custom box I built
