Before i go and break something let me ask how to remove my front door factory speakers on my 1997 LS and what size are they . It looks easy, but it always does untill something goes "snap"..Oh Oh!....Regards.....Tom H

 

ok i am not sure how to remove the door on the 97 mc but i do a lot of car audio and video installations and the size of the speakers in the front are 5-1/4" and the rear are 6x9". a side note for your door speakers is that there are no aftermarket speakers that will fit into your factory space but if you would like i can give you a list of the largest speakers that will fit into the factory location.. hopes this helps you out a lot.

 

get a flat-tip screwdriver and pry the plastic speaker cover out. now you have access to the speaker, you will need a 7mm socket and remove the two screws and there you go.
