nothing really different thanotheryear/model montes. without the factory hu you will lose the interior chimes and steering controls. you can gain the wheel controlsback with Pac's steering wheel interface.

Dont just pull it out and start cutting wires. You will need to buy the aftermarket wire harness it will run you 130-160. Then its just plug and play. Hope this helps.

RE: 06 audio system

It's all about where the sensor is to receive the signal from the remote. My '05 Malibu works great, 100-150 ft. but my '99 Z34 is about 30 ft...I'm not sure what causes that...but I've learned to live with it. lol.

has your 06 been through thecampaign on theremote issues? low range, trouble with remote start and/or complete failure. the dealerwill replace it all from the antenna to the key fobs. our 06 wouldnt work past 20ft.

I had my stereo done, I have a aftermarket cd deck, I had it installed at my local best buy store, the install wasn't expensive. You will need this harnessif you have the onstar stuff through your car. the lan kit at crutchfield.
