04 LS is going to hate this thread. What size cap do i need?
hey i know that the alt is a better option but right now it is not a option at all for me do to the time it would take to ship here. and the fact i just fished painting mine i would like to keep it longer then a few weeks before i replace it.
But i wanted to know what size cap is good for my set up. I have noticed im getting disco lights at night when the drin on the power is higher then in the day light . Or im not seeing it in the day light becuse of the fact it is not so noticabel.
So what farad would i get for a small amp of 1000 watts. briged.
right now im runnign the spekers at 2 ohms.
I knwo the alt. is the better way to go but would liek to wait till i have the whole system installed and know for sure i will need one sixze increase in stead of getting one to fiond out i will be d oing it again shortly.

The rule of thumb is a half farad for every 500 watts

ok one more question.
I ahve a 1000 watt amp now pluse i want to add at least this later for the other speackers, If i buy one that would be big enough for both amps will it hurt any thing? Is there such a thing as having to much stored? or to big of one? what will it do it i did this?
ok so more then just one question but you see where im goign with it.

Im still learnign the new stuff.
Hey did you see the lighted cup holders on the other site? they were kind of kool not sure i woul do it but you have to give him credit for comming up wiht the idea
