01 SS stereo upgrade
I have an 01 SS with the little baby factory amp in the trunk. I am upgrading and have ordered a 5 channel amp to drive front and rear speaks and subs. I intend to use the factory radio. My question is, are the imputs from the factory headunit to the little amp low or high level? If they are high, where can i get a converter for RCAs. Does anyone make a converter that will plug into harness at factory amp? Thank You!

You know what? I kind of assumed a few things. First of, does your car have OnStar? Does it have the Bose, or monsoon, sound system? If you have OnStar, do you want to keep it?
This link is for a Non Bose system pre-2002:

This one integrates into your Head Unit's 20 pin plug, BUT you have to make sure you DO HAVE the 20 pin plug. Otherwise, if you have the 24 pin plug, you'll need a different interface(if you want to install the interface through the Head unit's harness).
The other links are for generic High-Low converters:
Non-Bose:http://replacementradios.com/product...roducts_id=452
Bose/Premium:http://replacementradios.com/product...roducts_id=453
The last 2 connect to the Head Unit's speaker wires.
