I sent an email to easyperformance.com the makers of the WizAired CAI's, inquiring as to whether or not they had planned on making a unit specific for us 3.5/3.9 owners. A few minutes after I sent the message I already had a reply from Jim Wierzbickiof easyperformance.com. He saidthe company definately wanted to make a product for us, however they did not have a 3.9Monte/Impala to explore fitment issues. He asked if I was interested in becoming their test mule for this and future products for us 3.9 owners. I of course jumped on this opportunity.They are sending me out a Generation 3 WizAired CAI from the 3800 application to test fit on my car.They beleive the applications should be pretty close.The only thing they needed from me was to but the K/N branded cone air filter, and to take any quality digital pictures of the install or problems that I encounter. Not a bad deal.
I will post again when I get this installed, along with pictures and anymore information I get about this and future products.Hang in there fellow 3.9 owners, the parts are coming!! Just taking a little longer than even I had hoped for.

No sir it wasn't free.I got if for 1/2 price.i still think it was an awesome opportunity.I mentioned in my reply e-mail to easyperformance.com about this website and all the great people that post on this board. They were excited to build this intake for us.

I believe once I get the dude to fit properly, that 3.5 and 3.9 owners should both be able to use this CAI.
