Default will a CAI for a N/A 3.8 fit a 3.4

Hey MCF members,

i've got a 2002 montecarlo with a completly stock 3.4. I was wondering if a CAI from K&N which was made for the 3.8 would fit on the 3.4. If not, what are my alternate options? I was also thinking a wizaired CAI but i just don't know how to make them fit the intake manifold for the 3.4.

any tips are welcome!

Thanks

i think there about the same price.

i would go for the wizard air kit, because of the heat shield, and insulation.

i believe that kit bolts down to the factory mounts, it even has spots for your computers. then the flex piping allows for easy mounting to your throttle body.

I'd be very curious to see the e-bay listing for the one you are talking about, could you please post it up so I/we could see it, thanks

NO! im asking whether a CAI for a N/A 3.8 will fit over the stock throttle body of a 3.4 with out much modification. If I have to modify it, what do i have to do to make it work?

You can not use the 3.8 kit on your 3.4 because the 3.4 has the MAF sensor in the stock intake tubing and your TB is a few MM smaller, you will need to get the Wizaired kit with the drop down option that says for 3.4 engines.

Thanks.
