I prefer a well made CAI
I'm not putting it next to the oil pan, just into the fender not even half way.

I was thinking about the Wizaird one, but then its just like the factory as in design wise. Still in the same spot, but idk.

No, I know its less restrictive and better than stock. Im just saying that it looks similar to the factory box of where its placed and how it looks. If you were to paint it black, it'd look very similar to factory.

Oh IMO a Wizair or pretty much any CAI looks nicer than stock, they have clear windows to see the filter, and they are aluminum. Looks pretty sharp actually.

Plus, they are way less restrictive. FWI will work well too, don't get me wrong. But from a looks point of view, I actually think an aftermarket CAI such as the Wizair looks better than a FWI.

You may get a little more performance out of a FWI, but there is also the wet weather risk that is higher. I think you would be very happy with a well maid CAI.

You have a point there, but just the design that looks like the factory is getting me, but maybe that'll change

Check out pics of Trewny's 3400 Monte with the Wizair. I think it looks great!

I know, I've checked it and it does look good. Plus it (the CAI) being silver/chrome and all I think it'll look great in my engine bay.

LOL
Even though my intake is "gay", I got an easy/cheap upgrade to keep the rain issue from happening. You need some weather-proof sealer (that foaming window sealer) and a 90* intake pipe. You take the 90* intake pipe and seal it to where your foglight is supposed to be (if you dont have the foglights, if you do, this is N/A) facing upwards and seal around the foglight hole. and then take the foam sealer and seal around plastic splash gaurd (the wheel well) and that keeps the rain/snow out.
the whole deal with the 90* intake tube is to still let the fresh air in but the rain falls out of the front of the foglight hole. did i explain this good? this whole setup in not noticable at all.

You have a 90° bend in your intake tube?

That spells restriction, you want the straightest tube you can get and the filter getting as cold of air as possible to maximize your intake.
