Default what size pipes?

I have a 00 monte LS w/3400 and I'm looking to do some exhaust upgrades. Just wanted to know what size the stock pipes are so I can pick up a muffler/glasspack (haven't decided which yet) Is it 2.25" or 2.5"
I'm considering just replacing the stock muffler with a glasspack and leaving the stock resonator for now. Any input? Has anyone tried this?

I tried searching but the results came up with so much I couldn't sort it all out. Thanks in advance for the help.

Pic of my monte before I had the wheels PC'ed black...

2.25" mufflers is what you'll want to buy

So 2.25" inlet will fit over the stock pipes... correct? I'm hoping just to clamp things together instead of welding just in case I'm not happy with the sound.

I was looking at the dynomax and summit brand mufflers and glasspacks. I'm going to stick with single pipes until I'm sure I'm happy with the sound. Then I may have a shop put duals on.

Just a glasspack is going to be loud and sound pretty ****ty IMO. Havn't heard Summit on these cars and Dynomax is going to be on the quiet side but have a good sound. Have you thought of Borla mufflers?
