Red face What Dowpipe Do I Use??

So i just ordered speed daddy headers and i want a downpipe to add to it. What size downpipe would i use and would any downpipe work? May sound like a silly question to some but im still on the learning side of modding! Any advice helps thanks!

It's been a while since I looked at a set, but IIRC the downpipe is an integral part of the headers so you won't need to purchase one.

Yes, with headers you don't need a downpipe.

No need for downpipe with Speed Daddy's. They have it integrated with the headers. Keep in mind that with the Speed Daddy's there is no cat. I ordered the EGR block off plates and deleted the EGR at the same time. You will need an o2 extension as well which ZZP sells.

When I installed Speed Daddys I picked up two 3" band clamps and two 2.5" band clamps. I recommend this because the clamps it comes with tend to crush the pipe and make it almost impossible to remove/adjust. Band clamps and lots of RTV should be used for best results IMO

Why did you have to use RTV, where did you have the leaks? at each connection?

RTV is a must for mating surfaces of exhaust, please tell me you used it? Lol

I used RTV on both sides of crossover, and a lot on the mating surface for the v-clamp, also on the downpipe section where that connects. I also used lots of RTV all around the band clamps and it is %100 percent leak free to this day. The only spot I once had a leak was from downpipe to catback and that's because I didn't use the speed daddy gasket (known to blow out) but I RTV'd the crap out of everything.

Here's image of band clamps in use lol. They cover a lot and with RTV in there I guarantee you won't have leaks
