Default Thorley headers and hogan downpipe

Hey guys, long time no talk, you can thank my crazy work schedule and my girlfriend for that. haha. Anywho...I heard that the Thorley headers and the Hogan Downpipe can't be used together. Is this true? If so how come and has anyone found a way around it? Thanks!

You could take it to any local exhaust shop with a mandrel bender and have them make a downpipe- its really not that hard, and I'd imagine the headers come most of the way down anyways.

What U-bend?

06+ doesn't have it.
Neither does 95-99

It's just special for us 6th Gens

That's not 100% true. Here's mine.

And demonspeeder1, go read the header thread on LS1tech. You'll be overwhelmed with good information.

lol that hardly looks like a U-Bend, but I guess any restriction isn't welcomed.

Oh I know. It's definitely not as drastic as the 6th gen.

I thought when I was under my Dad's Monte, I didn't really see a U-Bend, I guess I didn't notice that little bump.

Good to know that it's somewhat there though, so I stop saying it's not completely.
