TEMP SENSOR QUESTION
I have a 2001 Monte 3.4. I have heard a good idea to make the car run a little better is to re-locate the IAT or temp sensor. Does anyone know where this is on the car, and if there is anything specific to look at when doing this?

RE: TEMP SENSOR QUESTION
if you havent changed to a cold air intake its not going to make a diff. if you look at my cardomain site, i have directions on how to make a cold air intake and also info on relocating the temp sensor.

RE: TEMP SENSOR QUESTION
were talking about the air temp sensor. your right the coolent temp sensor is close to the Tstat.
if you relocate the IAT (intake air temp sensor) you will keep the senesor away from engine heat/ heat soak. the sensor will read a few degrees colder, this will keep the computer from pulling as much spark advance, and may add additional fuel sooner.
i've noticed with the tuner there was no real need for this mod anymore, so when i recently redid my FWI setup i put the sensor back where it was for easy access. this mod doesnt make a drastic diff but again every little bit counts
