wish i could help but i know nothing about exhaust ...will probably be asking a similar question once i get close to getting exhaust on my car

 

Measure your stocker, is it like mine was, 24"?? I would drop to an 18" for a decent sound.

 

you think going with 14" would be too much drone or something?

 

I'm not an expert for the engine, I know how raspy the 3800 can get that's why I don't think you should jump to a really small size.

Also, why haven't you changed the mufflers out? lol

 

I currently have stock exhaust except for a ZZP downpipe (U-bend delete + Magnaflow Cat). And though I haven't actually done this yet... I plan to replace the stock resonator with a 4" round, 18" long Magnaflow, with appropriate Magnaflow's replacing the stock mufflers as well. I've heard of many others doing essentially the same thing with excellent results.

 

Because when I chance the mufflers out I have a feeling that it's just going to sound like crap lol.

Every 3400 i've heard sounds decent for a bit but when they really get on it, it just sounds like crap, and I don't really want that

 

Then I would be conservative on your resonator size lol

 

lol okay, maybe i'll go a little bigger than 14", do they make a 16"? possibly 18"?

I found a 16, i think i'll go with that, it's high flow, not sure if that will make a difference, but our diameters would be 2.25 right? i forget ha
