Default Quick Cherry Bomb question....

I was looking into throwing a louder exhause onto my 01 MC and was looking specifially at the Cherry Bomb products. Ive been looking online (streetfire mostly, no youtube at work though) and all you guys say that Cherry Bombs are mad loud, however the videos make them seem not so loud as I was thinking they would be. Maybe a lot is lost in recording. If I were to throw on dual CB's on my SS would it wake my neighbors up when I started it up at 5am? I want loud and throaty and ballsy, but not completely obnoxious. Also, would I be able to use my aftermarket tips with them? Thanks guys

If you even think that cherry bombs would bother your neighbors, then why do it? Just my .02 cents.

I have no idea, Ive just heard they're loud. Im not too worried about waking them seeing as how the nearest live 400 ft away (cept when im at school but waking them up wont be an issue then). Im just trying to get an idea of the shear loudness before I look too much into them or not

had cherrybombs on my 04 monte ls for about two weeks. hated every second of it. makes it sound like someone rammed a roll of paper towels up your exhaust pipe. personally id go with a flowmaster 40 series or, on the cheaper end (and MUCH louder end) straight pipe it like i did. oh and fyi my neighbors already hated me. i just like to pour salt into an open wound =)

I had a cherry bomb glasspack on my 3100. It was just a little quieter than a totally straight pipe exhaust. It was cheap, and ok I guess- but it rusted through in about 2 years because it wasn't stainless steel, it was just cheap painted mild steel.

Flowmaster 60 series mufflers are actually made to sound best combined with 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder cars. Look for some video/sound clips. I've personally never heard how they sound, but I figured I'd give you another option.

You can probably find them cheaper.

Really its going to be a problem with any mild steel exhaust, especially if you live in an area that uses salt in the winter.

Thats why the OEM's started using a cheap form of stainless- so the factory exhaust quit rusting out so quickly on new cars (it'll get surface rust, but usually takes a long time to rust through).
