Default Powder Coating exhaust tips

It would be cool I think to see exhaust tips in different colors espeacially powder coated since the tips can get really hot, A black powder coated exhaust tip would lick slick on these black cars or even with my scheme, or silver to match their montes colors.

What anybodys opinions on this idea,

they are color matching wheels from the lips to spokes and how about color matching your tail pipe tips?

Not a bad idea. I have a spare set of tips laying around (quads from a friends 25th Anniversary Z28) I could try it and post some pics when I get it done.

I don't think any color besides chrome/stainless steel, or possibly black would look good. You could try it though. It sounds interesting.

Why most you put these ideas in my head when i dont have any money to do this. I really think a set of black powder coated tips would look great.

I've been wanting to go black for awhile but was told that powdercoating wouldn't hold up, something more like ceramic would be better. Let me see if I can find the email/message deal I got about it...

I think you are right. Ceramic coating will hold up better with that kind of heat. Is it not more expensive though? I am starting to think that black coated tips would look pretty damn good. I am looking forward to seeing this.

Edit: I found some pics... None from a Monte though.

Edit #2: There are black exhaust tips on ebay. (LINK)

Bam! That's what the reply to my question was. This may be done soon once I get my rear bumper rebuilt and shaped how I want it.
