Question New monte, what mods should I do first?

So I’m getting a new 07 Monte Carlo SS. Ive been trying to find performance parts for it and can’t find anything. I’m trying to look for something that can last long and is affordable

There are lots of upgrades available due to the commonality of the LS engine. Many of the core parts can be used or adapted from the RWD variants.

A couple things though:
-We need to know how much power you're looking for and what your budget is. There are some pretty common upgrade paths, but its easier if we understand your end goal first.
-Trans reliability is a major concern any time LS4 performance mods are mentioned. The stock trans can't handle stock power. Getting into performance upgrades and beating on the car will only serve to shorten its life. Before you start modding it, I'd either buy a built trans (that matches your power goal) or I'd put a good chunk of money into a savings fund for it that you regularly contribute to. Last thing you want to do is be stuck with a car you need but can't drive because you don't have the money for a trans build after it breaks.
