would replacing just the mufflers with a set from either magnaflow or flowmaster give the car a nice sound or should i just replace the entire exhaust system?? any reccomendations on which type of muffler or kit that gives the best sound??

 

i would say, if the rest of the exhaust is good, change out the mufflers, look on youtube for a good sound clip of the motor type of your car and different mufflers! i've been wanting a complete new set-up for my car but the rest of the exhaust is in good condition, come spring/summer i hope to replace just the mufflers and tips that will get me some more sound out of it??

 

What year? Motor? Most people don't like 3800 exhaust FWIW. If you just want sound though, just replace your stock muffler(s) with Flowmasters or Magnaflows.

 

I agree- if your piping is still good, I don't see much sense in replacing good piping, with larger new piping; but thats just me. The mufflers are the bulk of the sound changing mechanism anyways.
