Default MPD CAI on 06 3.5L V6

Well, I just got the MPD intake installed....As many of you know, the customer service at MPD is awful, it simply SUCKS...don't expect to get your CAI for at least a month after your order it. Mine took 5 weeks!

However, the MPD intake is a good product, well made, and easy to install. It took me just under two hours to do the entire install.

On the test drive: First thing I noticed was the extra noise the engine makes right around 2,500 rpm, and after that. I personally love the way it sounds! The intake sound in combination with my Magnaflow exhaust sounds great!

On the power side of things, I felt a difference after 4,000 rpm, the car seems to pull a little harder. Its not a huge difference, but certainly there!

All in all, great product, and i'm happy with the results, but I HATE MPD for their customer service!

Hi `Michael,
Thanks for letting us know that it's installed, plus
your initial review. I sure hope you take the time
to file a complaint with the BBB .

Also, we would like to see pictures : )
Hope your MPG's go `up, but I doubt it since
the sound is so great hearing it suck the air in2
your starving 3.5 L
I really love the sounds a CAI makes : )

I rather have a SuperSounding Engine,
then a Stereo System : )
EnJoy & Wish your dad a Happy Father's Day

i'm glad everything installed ok for you michael. it's a great product but too bad the customer service is non existent. i can report that my economy went up by about 2 mpg with the mpd intake, which was a nice surprise. it was worth the $$ imo. happy driving!!

Yea, after a tank or so of gas, i'll do a milage check and see what my MPG's are now...Right now I can't keep my foot out of the gas, so my gas milage has gone to hell....yesterday when I started the car after installing the CAI, I had a 1/4 tank of gas, and the computer calculated Avg. MPG was 25.6...right now the needle is stuck on the E, and my milage is at 21.2...man I killed my milage in that last 1/4 tank of gas...LOL, gee I wonder why...maybe cause I drove half of yesterday at wide open throttle..???? LOL!

But once I start driving it "normally" at least what is normal for me, I will let you all know of any milage changes...

I'll look at the pictures shortly, hopefully.

Just wait until you get in your car one morning that it's nice and cold outside. The intake will sound even better :P
