Default mass airflow sensor

just wondering if anybody bought a hi-performance one and if it helped with the power?

ok here's the deal... yes they make them. no they dont make any more power.

the only need for it is if you max out your stock unit (max out meaning your following more air then it can register)
and to max out a stock MAF you have to be making in the area of 400-500 HP so if your that modd'd you would know if you needed one cause if you didnt know what you were doing.... you'd have blown up the engine well before the 400 hp mark.

edit:

oh... just FYI most of the time people use LS1/2 MAF sensor or even LS6 sensor on their high HP applications. there is also a company called granitelli....sp? they make them but again they wont do anything for you until you max out your stock unit. the stock unit has a larger bore then the TB and intake so it is not a restricition. and if you have the 3800 series engines then you do not have a seprate MAF and you would need a new TB to add and make use of a seprate MAF sensor.
