Yea IMO, it sounds much better once you change to the Maganflow resonator. Its does make it slightly loader, but still pretty mellow. The Magnaflow resonator changes the tone more than it makes the exhaust loader. It gives it a much deeper tone.

The Magnaflow resonator is a glass pack design, and the stock one had loovers, and channels in it (at least thats what the exhaust shop told me). Plus like Drew said, the stock is an 18", and the magnaflow one I got was a 14", you could go even smaller if wanted, all depends on how loud you want it. I personally did not want a lot of cabin noise when cruising on the highway.

I'm not sure off the top of my head, but I wanna say on the L36 we have a 24" resonator.

That sounds about right. The Bonneville has a big resonator (probably about 24"). I know it looks like a whole nother muffler all on its own. LOL

Yeah and it's a rusted out P.O.S. that leaks and makes the car sound (and feel) like crap!!!

Maybe because you live in PA. The Bonne doesn't have a spec of rust on anything!

Yeah, it's probably the 9 PA winters this car has already seen hahaha

Or the pipes are just jealous of the 304 stainless that precedes it

I'm leaning more towards this being your problem!

My resonator was loose and would rattle at low rpm's so I had the shop cut it out and put in straight pipe. Sounds great!
