Exclamation Magnaflow or flowmaster?

i got a 2001 NA 3.8L
just bought a JMB FWI & a ZZP 2.5"304SS DownPipe.
also got some nice Thermal Racing Development 3" Stainless Tips...
as soon as i get my downpipe in the mail im going to my muffler shop and im going to have it installed and going to get a full 2.5" made right after the dp.

so im just wondering which brand of exhaust should i go with,
i want a deeper note but not too loud...

x20 on going to youtube and just listening to exhausts.

Personally I'll be going with the GMPP Cat-Back Exhaust from GM Parts Direct which is a magnaflow cat-back system and 4" tips.

I would personally go with the "Magnaflow" (Stainless) catback

Magnaflows all the way, IMO. I have Magnaflow mufflers, and a 14" Magnaflow resonator on my Monte, and love the sound!

^ That IS a Magnaflow exhaust, just not sold as one for cost reasons, but when you get it, the tips / mufflers / resonator should all say MAGNAFLOW on them.

After the holidays are over, I'm going to see if I have enough to order that and then my father and I are going to throw the Monte up on jack-stands and bolt it up.

I'll throw in my Summit Race Muffler pitch... I'm happy with 'em and paid a lot less to boot!

Well, all the West Coasters, where drag racing was born, will swear by Flowmaster.

But you are a big boy. I personally hate the way Magna's sound. They sound like they were made for Japanese cars. 'Flows were made for American cars.

it's the resonator which cuts down on the exhaust drone in the cabin. the magnaflow one is 14" where the stocker is 18" long. michael says it gives a much better sound compared to the stock one. i'm going to have to go with this option some time down the road, but maybe after the holiday season
