Magnaflow exhaust cat back
I bought everything, I'm waiting for it to come in. I'm going to actually have it all welded instead of clamped. Every shop I called quoted me $120 to do the job. That doesn't sound too bad.
I shall! The mufflers came in yesterday and they're small... lol I didn't think they'd be so small. It's weird compared to the large stock one. I'm going to get some high temp paint and paint them tonight. My tips should be on the front porch waiting for me too. I can't wait for Saturday morning.
Does $120 sound reasonable?

Ya, when I took off the stock exhaust from the 05 the mufflers were twice the size of the aftermarket ones LOL! A nice way to shed the pounds heeheehee!
Those quotes were just welding. I already have the mufflers. However, I called another place and they quoted me $80 for the same work.
Yeah really. I bet those stock mufflers will weight a lot. The Summit Race mufflers are pretty light.
The tips came in yesterday too, and WOW! They look awesome. They're going to fill in the cut outs on the bumper perfect. I'm stoked!

Both $80 and $120 sound reasonable to me......of coarse $80 sounds better.
Also, I know you said you are only putting the mufflers, but you may want to consider putting a new resonator if your not getting rid of it. I started by keeping the stock resonator too, and later decided it did not have the sound quality I was looking for with the stock resonator, yet I still wanted it calm on the highway, so i had a Magnaflow resonator installed....WAY better, sounds 100% better now, and is slightly loader too, yet calm on the highway just like I wanted! The stock resonator has loovers in it, and is 18inches (at least on the V6) and the Magnaflow one I got is 14inches and uses the same glass pack way as Magnaflow mufflers...anyway, just a suggestion, but you can always go back, and delete/ add a different resonator later if you decide!
Word of advice, before you leave the muffler shop, or place your getting it welded, make sure to really check out the way it looks from the rear...mainly are both tips sticking out the back equal lengths, and are they centered properly. When I had my exhaust done, I didnt really look at it before leaving, and my tips were off center, and one stuck out further than the other, so I had to have it re-done, because I just could not live with it like that once I realized...Everything about my car HAS to be PERFECT, or i'm not happy!

Thanks for the tips MaMonte. I'll be leaving the stock resonator on, for now, and I will definitely look over everything with an extremely careful eye before I go any where. My car must be perfect to...
