Found my intake tube bent near the IAT sensor. Kind of annoying, it was letting in unmetered air and unfiltered air. I don't have a MAF screen, so that was potentially dangerous for my car

I snapped these pictures and sent them to K&N. They are actually replacing my intake tube for free as part of the no questions asked 1,000,000 mile warranty. I commend their customer service

Just keep an eye on your tubes. I know I won't have this Intake on my car much longer, but it's still nice that they will replace it for me.

Any idea what caused it to bend like that?

do you think because it so close to the exhaust it heated the IAT enough it caused the tube to melt?

Glad they are standing behind there product. That is the kind of service you should be able to expect from a company.

I doubt it, you can't tighten it THAT hard

where was it that it was able to kink like that?

if the filter was round the outside edge of that tube then i would think it was either over tightened or the just was a weak spot there for it to buckle.

i have had a PVC pipe for 5+ years now and it did shrink a little as i used thin wall pipe but never warped and buckled like that.

I say when you get the new one, Sell it and make your own.
