K&N or Motorsports...
ok so I'm about to get an intake. I dont wanna get the fenderwall intake cuz i live in new york and dont wanna chance it with the snow and whatnot. I'm torn between the K&N aircharger and the Motorsports performance cai. the motorsports has an enclosed box and comes with a heat wrap to go over the tube. but it has a flex hose instead of the nice tube that the K&N has, and the K&N has a larger filter. they are basically the same price. WHICH ONE should i get??????

One thing i forgot to mention is that its the LS and the Mass airflow sensor seems to be in a different position than the SS. will this be a problem? heres a pic of my engine bay

RE: K&N or Motorsports...
ok so i bought a speedbuilt fenderwall intake. it arrived with the box open and only one piece in it. thats another story. the thing i have found that is different from the 3800 to the 3400 is the mass air flow sensor. on the 3800 it is directly bolted to the TB or so im told. i put the K&N cone on (used a saw zaw to cut the box up and still keep the pcm tray) and you can hear the thing suck, i think it gave it a little more uumpff as well. I think im gonna have to use the existing rubber hose and use that to make it work. i just want to get the fenderwall piping in...screw UPS!!!
