Hey Deadsnake - not to change the subject, but Rockenback Chevy in Grayslake is having a free show this Sat morning. It says classic cars, but I'm going anyway with the red Monte. My fiance will either take his 92 IROC Z or if he can get his 69 Chevelle's starter working, he will take that. I think its going to more of a gathering than an actual show - meaning no judging. It sounds like a fun time.

Misfire sound, or backfire sound??

If a piece of your exhaust isn't bolted up properly it can suck in colder air during your deceleration and cause a popping sound.

I would say your downpipe hasn't been bolted up properly, or tightly enough. Or that a gasket isn't working properly?

Trey the guy at the muffler shop did it so i suppose they are? lol
Awesome, i had to buy new gaskets yes but they didnt seem that great...they were very thin the gaskets i had received with the DP were alot thicker and one was even metal, reason i did not have those installed was because i did not see them in the box before i went to get the DP installed, maybe thats the problem??? Idk, but I have to take it back to the shop this week, as for saturday, what time? I think i can stop by, i have work at 3 in round lake so it shouldnt be that bad

Keep us posted on what ends up being the problem. A d/p shouldn't cause that problem.

Is the IROC Z the Dodge Daytona IROC?
